About Us
Combined over 50 years of business, personnel and volunteer experience
The concept for Job Tsunami began several years ago when I was an Executive at a Fortune 100 Company. After helping the company grow for 15 years, shifts in technology and consumer demand forced us to downsize dramatically. Many of my friends were affected by the lay-offs. Because of their friendship and my loyalty toward them, we helped each person write a resume and find ways to market themselves. Unfortunately in those 15 years the job market had changed a great deal with the creation of Job Posting sites like Monster, Careerbuilder and others.
Most of the people affected had been with our company for the same 15 years, never imaging that they would lose their jobs, and certainly were not skilled at using the new tools. I recognized this, and I personally began to conduct job searches for people unfamiliar and uncomfortable using the internet and social networking sites.
As I began to discuss what I was doing with these people, others suggested I should help people learn how to use the Internet as well as conduct searches. Unfortunately many people just did not have the time, energy or fortitude to wade through all the information, find job openings and then apply for them. Some did and found new jobs but others wanted and needed the help.
Eventually I was downsized, just like my friends and employees in the past. I found a new job through the Internet. It took a great deal of personal time and energy, but I learned even more. I collected this information and started to tell people what I had learned.
Recently, a friend of mine approached me because he was unhappy where he was living and disliked his job and asked for help. Like the others, he became frustrated with having to learn so much and was uncomfortable using the Internet. I saw that the need was out there for people to have someone do the grunt work for them. They still must interview and get the job but they needed help opening the door, applying on-line and getting the details done to get an interview. Since there are many candidates for every job out there today, you have to be on the web regularly, finding opportunities and making that first contact with prospective employers.
That’s what we do at Job Tsunami. We use your information, find, report and, if desired, apply to jobs directly for you. While we can not complete every aspect of every application or prerequisite for you, we get you started and we do it so that you do not have to be chained to your computer and the Iinternet.
Subscribe to one of JobTsunami.com’s service plans and we’ll take the work out of searching for your next and better position. Whether you choose the Basic Assist service or the Power Assist plan, you’ll be secure knowing someone is constantly searching and working for you.
